At The Morrissey Family
BusinessesSM, we are
committed to investing in the local community.
We feel it is important to improve the place where
we live, work and play. We actively support this region
through financial donations, event sponsorships,
volunteerism, and by supporting other local businesses.
We also encourage the involvement of our associates in
their own community volunteer activities. They have
invested their time, talent, money and leadership into a
variety of organizations. Many serve on boards and
committees for community and area non-profit agencies;
others are involved with fundraising, health care,
educational, religious, and business development
organizations.
Leading by example is the best form of leadership;
Fran Morrissey recently concluded a two-year term as
Chairperson of the Board at SwedishAmerican Health
System. She is also active with the Women's Health
Consumer Advisory Board and the Regional Vision Project
Board. John J. Morrissey has just been named to the
Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of
Northern Illinois, an agency that is responsible for
growing and preserving an endowment for the current and
future needs of the people of northern Illinois. He is
Past Chairman of the Easter Seals Children's Development
Center in Rockford and is currently on the Board of
Directors. For many years, the Morrisseys have served on
a variety of boards in many different capacities. This
is just another way they believe in giving back to the
community.
